Today at E3, Nintendo announced the sequel to its most famous console, Wii. Proving that you can create strange names with the same capacity it has to revive the games with Mario, the company announced that it will be called second-generation Wii U. Stranger than that was the confirmation of rumors that it would control the shape of the tablet.
The company did not give many details of the technical specifications or showed him pictures even more so. But the folks at Engadget was quick on the trigger and took the photo below, which shows a U Wii next to a TV.
Besides the known analog controls, the tablet-U Wii controller comes with a D-pad, four action buttons and trigger buttons and above. It also has vibration feedback, a touch screen, microphone, speaker outputs, an accelerometer, a gyroscope and a front camera.
A nice part so far was the announcement that the accessories and the first Wii controls are compatible with the new generation. So no need to buy new controls if you already have a Wii. The new control will also be some function of interaction with the Nintendo 3DS, but did not give many details of this integration yet.
The apparent advantage of this control is that gamers can choose to play or just connected to the TV screen using the Wii controller U. Nintendo says, however, that it was not meant to be a mobile platform: all images are generated by the console and transmitted to the screen.
