Sharp and Softbank released world's first Android 2.3 Clamshell Phone


The Japanese love clamshell phones, popularly known as "phone that opens and closes" or flip. So it's no surprise that companies like Sharp and Softbank have agreed to use this format to create the first Android smartphone with folding of the world.


The device is called Hybrid Aquos 007SH is a variation of the female model AQUOS IS11H, we show that pink phone the other day. The smartphone has a long and rectangular design, with alphanumeric keyboard and a 3.4-inch 3D display with 480 x 800 pixels. And, oddly enough, the 007SH Aquos Hybrid runs version 2.3 of Android.

But not only that, it has several features that you will certainly approve, as well as being waterproof, it also has a camera with 16.1 megapixel sensor that takes pictures and records video in high resolution (720p) and 3D. The 007SH also has Aquos Hybrid Digital TV, GPS, a HDMI port Micro, slot for microSD memory card and SDHC memory cards and Bluetooth 3.0, and 2GB microSD card and Dropbox and Qik already installed. It is available in several colors black, white, burgundy and misty blue.

That was a good strategy for Sharp, after all, as the Japanese, many people in the world of smartphones like flip. Especially in Brazil, remember the success of the Motorola V3? Yeah. Softbank said it would release the Aquos 007SH Hybrid later this month in Japan Sharp also plans to sell the device in the world soon.
