"Producing these iPads is not easy, " says president of Foxconn

Chairman of Foxconn Terry Gou says it is not easy to produce the iPads.

Known worldwide for being hired by Apple to produce gadgets like the iPhone and iPad, Gou said his company "is always looking for ways to build their products more efficiently" and that these measures will make the production of tablet finally become profitable in the second half of this year.

The net profit of Hon Hai - "official" name of Foxconn - rose modest 1.9% in 2010, while its revenue jumped 53%. In turn, until September of last year's net profit Apple had exploded by 70%.

Although the weights of the balance seem unfair at first, Gou not seem to be extremely uncomfortable with the situation. "We help Apple to gain a lot of money. While our customers win, we will also be gaining. My biggest fear is that our customers do not win, "he concluded.

In recent months Foxconn became headline here by the announcement that will open an assembly line of the iPad in São Paulo.
