Processors from AMD and IBM are in the Wii U

While the Nintendo Wii set to release their U next year, few details about its technical specifications have been confirmed by the company. So far we only know that he is able to display graphics in high definition (1080p), have a proprietary format disc based on Blu-ray and HD will use a flash memory as storage medium. Yesterday, however, AMD and IBM and volunteered to say that the processors are responsible for the console.

IBM said it is behind the main processor U Wii, which it said it contains "the most advanced technology at IBM" in terms of energy savings and because of its aspect of embedded DRAM, it is capable of feeding the processor with large amounts of data and thereby make the game experience as smooth as possible. " Ok right?

Remember, the first Wii also has an IBM processor, called Broadway, then the only Nintendo apparently did not want to change the manufacturer. Or IBM showed he was capable of producing a better processor for next-generation console and managed to survive as the sole provider.

But AMD has announced that it is responsible for the new console's graphics chip, which the company says is an AMD Radeon HD, created specifically for the Wii U. That's all. He did not give many details about what the CPU clock or anything, just said that part of the Radeon family and supports rich multimedia features and multiple displays.

What this means exactly is not known yet. We connect the two TVs in U Wii at the same time? Why? And the Wii will be able to play U.S. Blu-ray discs that are not of its own proprietary format? Nintendo says no. When seen, we have to wait.
